Track the KPIs that matter to you

Modified on Tue, 12 Nov at 8:03 AM

Adalysis helps you stay in control of the big picture and the critical details in your PPC account. Performance monitors track key metrics and send alerts if something needs your attention. For example, if spend drops to zero, an alert can let you know to check for billing issues. With seven prebuilt monitors and the flexibility to create your own, you can track the KPIs that matter to you.

You can find your performance monitors and performance alerts in two places:

  1. On the Accounts Overview screen, in the Performance monitors column

  2. On your Dashboard, under Performance alerts

Customizing your performance monitors

Four performance monitors will be active by default when you start your Adalysis trial. We recommend reviewing the settings to ensure they're relevant to your account. Click on your performance monitors and the pencil icon to start. Here are the options you can update:

Step 1: Campaign type or campaign label

Specify which campaigns you’d like to monitor. Select by campaign type (e.g., search or display) or label (useful for grouping similar campaigns).

Step 2: Define monitoring frequency and criteria

Choose how often you want the monitor to run (e.g., daily, weekly, or monthly), and set criteria that will trigger an alert. Criteria can include:

  • Date range comparisons

  • Threshold values

  • Relative changes as values or percentages

Step 3: Activate alerts

Whenever your criteria are met, you'll see an alert on your Accounts overview and Dashboard screens. You can also choose to receive email notifications.

Creating new performance monitors

On your Accounts overview or Dashboard, click Monitor a new performance condition to create a monitor from scratch. You can also copy and edit a predefined monitor, which is often faster.

Analyzing the root causes of performance changes

For all performance alerts triggered due to changes over two date ranges, Adalysis provides tools to help you understand why. You can access the Root cause analysis function by clicking "root cause" next to the alert.

Root cause analysis provides a visual breakdown of factors influencing the performance trend. This makes it easy to pinpoint issues like increased CPCs or shifts in conversion rates. You can click on any factor for more insights and drill down into specific data points.

Performance monitoring is one of our most popular features, which is why it's a great place to start if you're new to Adalysis.

Note: For other types of change tracking, go to your Audit settings. More info.
