Budget management tools overview

Modified on Thu, 19 Dec at 11:28 AM

Adalysis has some of the most comprehensive budget tools available in any platform today. This toolset will help you get the most out of your available budgets and easily spot opportunities for improvement.

A consolidated view of each of your PPC accounts can be found on the main dashboard.

Note: Hover over the column headers for more information about how this data helps you become more efficient in managing your budget.

The budget tools are split into two screens:

  • The Allocated budget tools screen helps you to manage the budget allocated to your campaigns (or shared budgets) in the Google Ads settings. For more details, please keep reading.
  • The Track budget pacing screen has tools for pacing target budgets, alerts and actions. The target budget is defined in Adalysis only and helps you monitor budget performance without making changes to the allocated budgets. For more details, please look at this article.

Allocated budget management tools

This part of the budget screen provides you with information at the account level:

  1. The current spend (until the end of yesterday) and an estimated projected spend for the whole month.
  2. The total currently allocated campaign daily budgets and the choice to define a monthly spend goal. Adalysis will split the total budget across the campaigns (or shared budgets) to maximize the chance of achieving the your specified performance goal (more details).
  3. The choice to put the account budget on auto-pilot, which means Adalysis will automatically manage this budget on a daily basis (more details).
  4. A set of charts for this and the previous three months, detailing the spend and the allocated budget. The data is presented in both a daily and aggregated format.

The second part of the budget screen provides the data for this and up to three months:

  1. A detailed history for the allocated budget spend, as well as Lost Impression Share (budget). See Chart 1.
  2. Pacing based on the allocated budget for the selected date range.
  3. An estimate for the monthly projected spend for this campaign/shared budget.
  4. Current and historical values of the Lost Impression Share (budget) metric, plus a breakdown of the potential performance boost if the budget is increased. Adalysis is able to work out this metric for shared budgets, even though it's not readily available in Google Ads. See Chart 2.
  5. Current and historical values of the allocated daily budget, plus an edit function. See Chart 3.
  6. Define a monthly spend goal for this budget. Adalysis can adjust the daily budgets based on your goal. See Chart 4.
  7. See all the above data for the last three months to compare performance and analyze seasonality.
  8. Adalysis will alert you to campaigns losing impressions due to a limited budget, which would benefit from a higher budget (more details).
